Founded in 1976 as a major international fast-food franchise by Lois and Richard Nicotra, The Nicotra Group, LLC has since developed into Staten Island’s largest private real estate developer and premiere hospitality company.
The Nicotra Group owns and manages more than 1 million square feet of prime office space, two hotels, and acres of meticulously manicured grounds. The Nicotra Group properties include 8 Class A office buildings, as well as their Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Nicotra’s Ballroom, Above Weddings & Rooftop, Lorenzo’s Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret and their social enterprise eatery, the COMMONS café, a quick service eatery where 100% of the profits are awarded in scholarships to employees' children and grandchildren as well as grants to Staten Island non-profits.
The Nicotras' properties are located in a 415 acre natural woodland preserve in their Corporate Park of Staten Island. Recognized for environmentally-friendly development, and recipients of the prestigious Arbor Day Award, they founded their non-profit Bloomfield Conservancy, which preserves wetlands and surrounding areas through daily maintenance and installs art for the community’s enjoyment.
