  • Guest Satisfaction: Displays leadership in guest hospitality and ensures consistent, high level service throughout all phases of hotel events. Ensures products and services sold to Event Planers meet or exceed their expectations, create loyalty and leads to increased market share.
  • Sales & Revenue: Builds the hotels revenue by focusing on the post-contractual sale of products and services. Maximizes revenue by up selling contracted products and identifying additional revenue opportunities.

 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

 

Operations:

  • Assures all detailing standards are adhered to in the Event Department.
  • Conducts the BEO Meetings assuring details are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Responsible for to assure review of all Sales bookings for Food and Beverage forecast accuracy at the time the booking is turned over from sales.
  • Maintains forecast accuracy as the event materializes during detailing in Delphi.
  • Assures proper distribution of finalized BEO's to all appropriate departments in Hotel on a timely basis.
  • Assures proper notification of the department heads of any changes affecting the BEO's which may occur after their initial distribution.
  • Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customer (internal and external) regarding event details. Follows up with customer post-event.
  • Acts as liaison between sales and operations management customer throughout the event process as needed (pre-event, event, post-event. Makes presence known to customer at times during the event. Is available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements, if required.
  • Oversees customer experiences from file turnover through the post event phase until turnover back to sales.
  • Proactively identifies operational challenges with group and works with the hotel staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.
  • Leads pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups.
  • Facilitates various meetings as necessary (Pre-Cons, Forecast etc).
  • Manages group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups. Responsible for pace and turnover and assignments of all groups thru GRC.
  • Greets customer at the start of each day the event is held as well as throughout the course of the day of the event. Recaps the day's event with group contact before the Event Manager departs the property for each day of the event.
  • Hands event off to the Banquet Operations team for the execution of details.
  • Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Integrates current trends in event management.

  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
