Job Purpose:  Assist in accounting functions for the hotel, to include cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and parking

Job Responsibilities: 

    1. Perform Daily Garage audit of parking tickets
    2. Maintain Monthly Parking A/R included but not limited to receiving payments, Closing, and Opening accounts.
    3. Activate and Deactivate Parking Guest on a Monthly bases
    4. Send out Monthly and Yearly Parking invoices
    5. Assist with answering the phone, and helping with Guest inquires
    6. Assist the General Cashier with monitor, maintain and oversee the handling of all cash for the hotel. Including but limited to opening cash drops from Front Desk & Outlets, Sending Cash Over/Shorts to the various department Managers
    7. Assist with Auditing house banks as per schedule.
    8. Assist with matching invoices with purchases orders
    9. Assist with properly coding and recording expenses to the correct cost center/general ledger account and obtain appropriate department head approvals.
    10. Assist with entering all invoices/vouchers into the computer for payment processing in a timely manner.
    11. Assist with printing invoices and folios for A/R billing - Mail/ Email Invoices - make sure all backup is with invoice (banquet checks, consumption sheets, purchase orders, etc.) must be sent out within 3 business days.
    12. Assist with collection calls - Emails and Notes in the A/R Jackets must be completed and updated weekly.
    13. Performs various other duties as assigned by the Controller & Assistant Controller.

    Job Skills:

      1. Excellent organizational skills
      2. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and industry accounting laws and practices
      3. Knowledge/familiarity of GAAP
      4. Ability to set and meet deadlines while working independently
      5. Computer proficiency to include email, accounting software and spreadsheets
      6. High school or equivalent education required.  Associate's degree preferred.
