Jonathan's Landing Golf Club is looking to hire a full-time/year-round Executive Pastry Chef to join our professional culinary team. 

Ideal candidates will have 1 - 3 years Executive Pastry Chef experience or 3 - 5 years in Pastry Chef supervisory role in hospitality or Country Club industry.

OVERVIEW: The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing specialty desserts, baked goods, ice cream, Gelatos, Sorbets, Petit Fours, Cakes, Viennoiseries and assembling and presenting desserts for a' la carte service and banquets. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares desserts, puddings, gelatins, stewed and baked fruits, pies, cakes, pastries, icings, custard, fondants and various dessert fillings.
  • Prepares specialty breads and schedules production of rolls, biscuits, bread and muffins.
  • Supervises all pastry areas to ensure a consistent and high quality product is produced.
  • Ensures sanitation and food standards are achieved and operates equipment in safe and sanitary manner.
  • Responsible for guiding and developing direct reports, including Assistant Pastry Chefs
  • Responsible for overall success of daily pastry operations and reports to Executive Chef
  • Assists the Executive Chef with menu development associated with pastry
  • Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays
  • Studies current and next day requirements of daily menus.
  • Must be a self-motivated positive team player and be able to work in a fast paced environment

Candidates must have flexibility to work weekends and holidays and follow Executive Chef's schedule.
