The Guest Services Agent plays a vital front-line role in ensuring the guest has a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. The Guest Services Agent is expected to:

  • Accommodate special requests whenever possible
  • Answer guest questions and listen to their concerns
  • Resolve guest issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations
  • Process Check-ins and Check-outs
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Understand room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests
  • Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures
  • Coordinate guest room maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division
  • Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager
  • Know all safety and emergency procedures
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area

Requirements:

  • Good communication and problem resolution skills
  • Must be in full uniform per Company and Brand standards
  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Guest service, basic accounting, and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
  • Able to maintain composure under pressure.
