Lobby Ambassador:  The primary responsibilities of the Lobby Ambassador are to facilitate guests' and visitors' enjoyment by providing information and assistance in response to a wide variety of requests. This position coordinates guests' needs, requests, and inquiries to ensure superior service and value for our guests. Collect and provide comprehensive information and coordinate guest requests including but not limited to hotel services, sporting events, places of interest, restaurants, theater, airline, transportation tickets, limousine rentals, sightseeing tours and any other information of interest. Promote hotel services, facilities and outlets; provide guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase guest satisfaction. Will periodically assist with carrying guest luggage as part of the personalization and rapport building with the guest and may perform other duties as assigned which may include guest room tours, special guest requests, etc.).   May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel. This position ultimately serves as a support to the Front Office team (i.e. Front Desk and Guest Services). Be aware and prepare for all in-house group meetings and VIP arrivals as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting the bell stand, providing luggage and assistance, and ensuring the appearance of the lobby area appearance reflects highly on the hotel and company. Required to work varied schedules that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have guest service experience minimum of 1 year, preferably in hotel industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Must have strong conflict resolution skills and MUST possess strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. (Must have clear, concise verbal & written communication skills.)
  • Must be guest service focused, and understand expectations of hospitality demands.
  • The ability to deal with internal & external guests with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Previous cash handling experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel and Power point is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills are essential, must be able to multi task, have outstanding attitude, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to stay well informed and knowledgeable about all hotel and local activities, restaurants, services and other attractions.
  • Must work well with others, be motivated, and display a positive energetic persona.
