The Radisson Nashua is looking for an experienced Social Catering Manager to join our team. The Social Catering Sales Manager is responsible for selling and meeting revenue goals as well as detailing and servicing Social Events at the Hotel. The primary focus will be to increase the number of wedding receptions at the hotel and other social, special events. He/She must also have a strong knowledge of weddings and understand the importance of prospecting and creating new sales opportunities for the Hotel.

Candidates should possess the ability to build new business opportunities and generate leads through connectivity with meeting/wedding planners and potential clients. Ideally would be involved in local industry organizations.

We are seeking someone who is motivated, responsible, detail oriented and is an integral part of innovating new ways to improve the catering operations.

Additionally, candidates for this role should have experience in the area of menu development and marketing as it relates to the catering department. Successful candidates will have prior experience with event coordination, BEO origination, and food concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Solicitation of direct-selling in the local, Social Catering market
  • Event planning and detailing for booked events; including room blocks and floor planning when needed
  • Maximize Catering revenues wherever possible and achieve monthly revenue goals
  • Communication with clients to events to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts
  • Onsite during all weddings and other social functions as assigned
  • Tuesday - Saturday work week
