The Crowne Plaza Fredericton - Lord Beaverbrook Hotel, is currently seeking a highly motivated Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager, with strong initiative and desire for personal achievement for our property located in the beautiful historic downtown core of Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, result-oriented individual with innovative problem-solving skills and "hands-on" leadership abilities.

Overview:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager will assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures of the hotel. The Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager will work closely with the hotel's maintenance and guest services teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in overseeing the performance of the Housekeeping department and to take appropriate action to maintain and exceed brand standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms, guest areas and associate areas, assessing compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety and security of the property
  • Communicate throughout the day with Guest Services and other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor consumption and order replacement of guest and cleaning supplies while maintaining budgeted objectives

Requirements

  • Previous IHG experience is an asset
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in various Rooms Division positions
  • Computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak in both official languages considered an asset.
  • Required to use discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Able to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Good organizational and analytical abilities
  • High degree of customer service orientation, integrity and ethics
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including weeknights and weekends
