PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS

Provide quality, value-added professional service in the Golf department to exceed facility standards for food service, guest helpfulness, and guest friendliness.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Deliver excellent, prompt and courteous food & beverage service.
  • Stock all necessary items before going to snack bar from par list. Assist in stocking the beverage cart.
  • Start coffee and hot products
  • Service members, customers and guests, know proper procedures on how to serve and retrieve food
  • Answer phones before third ring and use proper etiquette.
  • Maintain and ensure cleanliness of snack bar area, counters, cabinets, coolers etc.….
  • Keep all products organized and stocked
  • Recognize and greet members by name
  • Cordially greet all arriving customers and members by name whenever applicable.
  • Have knowledge of telephone etiquette and policy
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Follow and enforce Alcohol Service Policy, review policy in detail and report any issues such as individuals that have had too much to drink, or brought their own alcohol immediately
  • Open cash bank and set up cash register
  • Never leave bar unattended
  • Be aware of cash handling and accepted methods of payment
  • Document and submit charge sales summary sheets with tickets
  • Complete tip record report
  • Maintain accurate ticket writing and controls
  • Maintain supply control forms
  • Maintain a proper food and beverage inventory control
  • Follow established ordering and requisition process requirements
  • Make other contributions to team as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.  6 months serving experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding Grille and beverage cart service processes. Must be able to use appropriate judgments as it pertains to supervisory duties.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • TIPS - Beverage Alcohol Seller and Server certificate
  • Illinois Food Handler's Certification
  • Valid Driver's License

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Practice correct safety standards and rules at all times.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.  Required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach.  Requires ability to reach, grasp and feel.

 

HOURS

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime.  Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
