HOSTPERSON/GREETER: Greeters are responsible for welcoming and creating the first impression for guests.  These individuals will provide table accommodations to guests and offer menu recommendations by acknowledging and greet guests in a prompt and courteous manner; seat guests ensuring a balanced workload among servers. Maintain accurate waiting list as needed.  May take food and beverage orders and assist in check close out for servers as needed. May routinely clear and reset tables and assist with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers.  May be asked to handle guest complaints and special requests. May assist with other duties as assigned. The Hostperson/Greeter has the ability to influence the overall restaurant experience by their interaction with guests; they are the final point of contact and have the ability to ensure guest satisfaction. Must be comfortable with cash handling, credit, etc. The Hostperson/Greeter will report directly to the Food & Beverage Management staff.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous guest service experience is required.
  • A minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with guest interaction and provide great guest service.
  • Must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight.
  • The ability to deal with internal & external guests with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be guest service focused and understand expectations of hospitality and restaurant demands.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler cards as required by local or state government agency.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holidays.
  • Successful candidates will have excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must be a team player and exude friendly demeanor/personality.

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing a maximum of 50 pounds (plates, utensils, menus, etc.)
  • Handling food objects, products and utensils
  • Using a keyboard
