OVERVIEW:  Provide parking & greeting service to members and their guests by performing appropriate duties, which entail parking their car safely and presenting a warm greeting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Service Skills and cautious driving skills
  • Is prepared for work
    • Present, in uniform (Jonathan's Landing Golf Club Clothing only), on time for scheduled work.
    • Work clothing/uniform is complete, clean, and pressed.
    • Knows club events schedule
    • Reads and understands function/party sheets and anticipates needs that can be resolved prior to problem development
  • Ensures work station is neat, clean, & presentable as an appropriate first impression
    • Ensure proper stock items are in place at the beginning of each shift (Valet tickets, Valet "on duty" sign, & any other materials).
    • Section is clean and organized at all times.
    • No Food & Beverage including containers are visible to members and guests.
    • Maintains services until relieved by a supervisor for breaks or lunch/dinner unless approved by a supervisor.
    • Complete all assigned closing side work or additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Always get approval from a supervisor/front desk when leaving the valet area or ending a shift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • Trash bin is empty before and after your shift
  • Cigarette urn is empty before and after your shift
  • Ensure Parking Lots are kept in a clean condition
  • Provides Valet Services
    • Promptly attends to vehicles arriving giving direction when applicable (directing traffic when multiple cars are arriving).
    • Greets all member/guests with the appropriate dialog for each interaction using last names if possible
      • "Good Morning (afternoon/evening)".
      • "How are you doing today?"
    • Apologize for any wait during high volume times
    • Promptly and appropriately distributes Numbered Tags for cars.
    • Drives vehicle safely through parking Lot abiding by all driving Laws
    • Verify accuracy of vehicle before delivery, ensuring accurate settings are the same way when vehicle was given to you.
    • Appropriately greet members/guest upon their exit using their last name if possible
      • How was your afternoon/evening at the club
    • Open the car door and hold it in order to close it for the member/guest while giving the proper send off
      • "Have a nice evening"
      • "I hope to see you soon"
    • Maintains records
      • Accurately contributes tips to the tip pool
      • Verifies accuracy of member/guests vehicle
      • Trouble shoots any staffing problems ahead of time
      • Punches in and out on the correct time card.
      • Has ability to produce an accurate map location of the parking lot
    • Markets club activities, products and services to members and guests.
      • Appropriately suggests any club events that are up coming.
      • Encourages member participation in club events and activities.
      • Suggests ideas to enhance valet services.
        • Provides quality experiences for all members, guests and staff
          • Acknowledges members, guests, and staff promptly, making eye contact and smiling.
          • Acts as an emissary of member needs and requests by:
            • Communicate pleasantly and positively.
            • Greeting members by name (i.e. Mr.______, Mrs.____ ) whenever possible. First name basis only with co-workers.
            • Solicits opportunities for assistance to members.
            • Responds timely to the urgency of the member/guests needs.
            • Accepts responsibility for problems, which may develop regardless of the cause.
              • Uses proper phone etiquette at all times. Does not talk on cell phone under any circumstance (immediate termination)
            • Trains new staff correctly and completely.
            • Demonstrates proficiency in all areas of service (i.e. accepting cars, retrieving cars, opening door for members/guests walking into club
            • Provides quality experiences for all members and guest during down time (while not parking cars)
              • Open doors for EVERYONE entering and exiting the building
              • Greets all member/guests with the appropriate dialog for each interaction using last names if possible
  • Maintain service to members and guests
    • Keeps an eye on any the parking lot ensuring safety measures are being met.
    • Has the ability to retrieve any vehicle within 30 Seconds
