Job Purpose: Secure new volume accounts; grow positive relationships with assigned existing accounts; assure positive recognition within the local community for three boutique properties in the Lower East Side.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Solicit and secure rooms and event business for assigned hotels and market segments
  • Manage high volume social inquiries from proposal to execution
  • Identify specific areas for focused solicitation within defined markets
  • Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.
  • Actively solicit and sell meeting spaces to corporate and leisure clientele.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly solicitation quotas for prospecting calls, client appointments and site inspections
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly revenue goals
  • Execute contracts/BEO's and follow up on pertinent duties outlined in contracts. 
  • Nurture all assigned client accounts with timely post event follow-up and ongoing contact in an effort to secure valuable repeat business.
  • Attend all required meetings assigned  

Job Skills:

  1. Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s).
  2. Ability to exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
  3. Ability to use analytic skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.

Job Qualifications:

Education

Associates Degree in Sales &Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
