Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboard all new team members in a timely manner
  • Complete new-hire paper work and distribute accordingly
  • Maintain accurate on-site employee records
  • Advise Departments heads of impending reviews, renewals, etc. and follow up as required
  • Conduct regular orientations with new team members
  • Assist the Housing Manager with Pick-ups of new team members
  • Plan and execute staff activities on and off property
  • Costing of all team members trips to ensure proper charges are collected
  • Conduct regular shopping trips for team members
  • Be an advocate for team members
  • Regularly solicit feedback from team members on activity ideas, workplace ideas, etc.
  • Introduce team members to social assistance programs (addiction, mental health, etc.)
  • Ensure all WCB reports are completed with accuracy and within the allotted time
  • Assist other departments as required
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Hotel Manager
  • Act a confidential witness to HR related conversations as assigned by the Hotel Manager
  • Other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager -

 

Requirements/ Experience:

  • BC Class 4 Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to be organized and to perform a variety of duties on any given day
  • Ability to create engaging presentations and experiences for team members
  • Previous purchasing experience an asset
  • Working with a variety of personalities and remaining confidential at all times
  • Understanding that many things may happen in a day that were unplanned and having the ability to be flexible
  • Physical demands, sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs)
