The Senior Business Transient Sales Manager will personally demonstrate a commitment to customer service by soliciting and responding promptly to guest needs while meeting deadlines. Contribute to the organization's transient room revenue and occupancy by partnering with existing local and national corporate accounts. Responsible for creating and executing incentive programs to increase awareness of the organization and loyalty to the hotel. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prospect new business for transient room needs. Communicate frequently with existing accounts and travel agencies through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, entertainment and written communication.
  • Create marketing and promotional campaigns to build visibility and revenue opportunities.
  • Recommend, participate and attend trade shows, sales & FAM trips, community events and industry meetings (local and national).
  • Negotiate and establish rates for corporate and local negotiated accounts with direction from Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Fully comprehend Transient sales strategies, strengths and weaknesses, market trends and transient promotional programs within the competitive set.
  • Participate in weekly strategic/revenue meetings, daily business review meeting, training and other sales related meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-4 years hotel sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry; preferably corporate sales preferred.
  • College degree in hospitality or business administration is preferred.
  • Experience in luxury, boutique life-style and/or upper scale brands.
  • Strong understanding of negotiating and interpretation contracts.
  • Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office.
  • Present a professional appearance and confidence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Delphi knowledge is a plus
