JOB SUMMARY

Works closely with the all F&B Managers and Staff. Responsible for the general operation and oversight of staff functions relating to Dining Room Operations, Catering/Banquet Services, Valet and Locker Rooms. F&B Manager will work closely with Membership, Golf Operations and Private Events Staff to ensure seamless service.

 

DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS

  • Due to the fluctuating demands in our Club it is everyone's responsibility to do whatever necessary to ensure excellent experiences for our Members and their guests.
  • Personal interaction is critical. When you are at the Club for meal shifts it is imperative that you visit every table to ensure satisfaction and develop relationships.
  • Quality and attention to detail is everything. Your eye for detail will provide the difference at shifts.
  • Growing usage, satisfaction, with attention to gain repeat usage is a main focus.
  • Assists the Operations Managers in developing/implementing long-range and annual plans, operating reports, forecasts and budgets.
  • Regularly evaluate products and services and makes recommendations for improvements necessary to remain industry leading.
  • Maintains contact with members and helps assure maximum membership satisfaction.
  • Manages all aspects under your control in alignment with objectives agreed to by and with the Operations Managers and/or the C.O.O. Acts as manager on duty on the floor.
  • Monitors the budget with other team members and directs the taking of corrective action as necessary to assure that the budget goals are attained.
  • Functions as an administrative link between departments.
  • Monitors internal cost control procedures.
  • Coordinates training programs.
  • Ensures all staff under your control are ready to work in training, ability, personal appearance, uniform and tools necessary to complete tasks.
  • Receives, investigates and acts upon complaints from club members, guests and employees.
  • Assures that the club's preventive maintenance and energy management programs are in use.
  • Participates in on-going facility inspections in areas of control to assure cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently attained.
  • Implement and maintain tight control of labor costs via forecasting techniques and staffing guides.
  • Implement and maintain tight control of Food and Beverage costs of sales.
  • Responsible for the profitability of the Operational Departments to closely monitors and analyzes revenues and expenses in order to increase profits and produce budgeted departmental income.
  • Maintain superior standards of cleanliness and sanitation in both front and back of house operations.
  • Identify personnel and operational deficiencies and acts to rectify them in a timely manner.
  • Assists with evaluation of operations and supply clear, measurable goals for employees and staff on a quarterly basis.
  • Works closely with the Catering Department to ensure that all club events run smoothly.
  • Assist in preparing sales and profit forecasts as it relates to the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance and expects the same of staff.
  • Promotes teamwork, spirit, courtesy and friendliness among members and employees.
  • Assist in administering competitive wage programs and safe working conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with all employees and keep them informed of matters

which pertain to their jobs. Hold regular meetings with service staff to discuss training techniques and other pressing items.

  • Execute the personnel functions of the department by interviewing applicants, evaluating and reviewing employees and disciplining employees as necessary with help and support of the HR Director.
  • Follow fair progressive discipline/coach and counseling procedures.
