We're looking to meet candidates interested in a management position for our soon to open restaurant 1221 at MFP in the Roslyn Hotel. We are hiring immediately.

 

At 1221 at MFP we are intending to bring a curated and authentic, elite culinary and service experience to Roslyn NY. We want to be the most knowledgeable, most credible, and most excellent restaurant experience anyone can have in LI. Drawing from the nostalgia of 1920s fine dining service and professionalism we want to bring the experience of the old school movers and shakers to the customers of Long Island while also elevating the cuisine from the past with modern techniques and ingredients.

We are in the process of flushing out our team to make this vision a reality.


Responsibility:

Restaurant Manager will ensure company policy and Standards are followed
Hiring, training and developing new hourly team members
Increasing sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
Maintain an overall management style in accordance with our established best practices
The Restaurant Manager will provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure efficient operation
Ensure food quality and availability
Prepare and present hourly team member reviews
Oversee and supervise all beverage purchasing
Complete all tasks assigned quickly and competently



Requirements

3+ years of Restaurant Management experience preferred with experience
Great work ethic and sense of urgency
Experience with restaurant openings preferred
HS degree or equivalent preferred
Has strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
Proven ability to manager and develop a team
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Passion for the business and compassion for people
Outstanding leadership and communication skills
Ability to recruit, develop and motivate team members
Must be able to create fun in a fast-paced and stressful environment
