We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the dual position of Night Auditor and Night Security.

Status: Full-Time, Weekday Evenings & Weekend Evenings, 10:45 pm - 7:15 am

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities of Night Auditor:

Performs daily checks and makes corrections, ensuring all in-house guests needs are addressed.
Make sure information is current and accurate.
Processes credit cards accurately and balances daily.
Monitor and correct all daily accounting transactions performed by the front desk staff.
Complete, monitor, and maintain the accuracy of the Daily Operating Report and other daily manual reports.
Update the travel agent database on a nightly basis.
Posts payments, adjustments, and advance deposits as needed.
Ensure that the telephone revenue has been posted.
Complete Night Audit checklist.
Review next day's arrivals making sure that all rate changes are noted to show on the registration card.
Prepare registration cards for the next day's arrivals.
Responsible for clear and effective communications between co-workers, guests, and management.
Follows security and safety standards at all times.
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests. Issue room keys and familiarize guests with the services the hotel offers.
Responsible for following key control procedures according to set standards.
Print month-end reports.
Follow our transportation and tour bookings policy.
Other duties as assigned.

Answers and handles all incoming telephone calls efficiently and accurately.
Makes and confirms reservations according to Hotels standards and rooms merchandising techniques.
Keeps familiar with current codes for current rates, packages, and promotions.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Makes restaurant or entertainment reservations, and arranges other guests' requests.
Posts charges such as room, honor bar, health club passes and other revenues to guests' folios.
Collects payment, and makes changes for guests.
Sorts, file and/or distributes incoming and outgoing mail and messages as required.
Maintains and ensures front desk and lobby areas are neat, organized and appealing/presentable to guests.
Completes daily filing, including the daily reservations back-ups.
Transmits and receives telephone messages, as necessary.
Performs daily cashiering audit and balances shift cashiering transactions.

Requirements of Night Auditor:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Customer/service skills/experience is required.
The employee must be genuinely personable and cordial.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic typing skills required, 10 key helpful, computer experience preferred and adaptability required.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Basic math skills.
Excellent Problem-solving skills.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
CPR certification a plus but not required.

Responsibilities of Night Security:
• Follows safety and security policies and procedures at all times.
• Patrols property's interior grounds and back alleyway all night.
• Ensures all guest room doors are closed and all public access doors locked. (Front door should be locked by midnight; employee entrance should be locked after the restaurant employees are gone.)
• Ensures that all offices doors are closed and locked.
• Responsible for opening the front door for guests arriving/coming back late.
• Ensures all properties security alarms and video camera are on and functioning well.
• Responsible for reporting any suspicious activity to the San Francisco Police Department. Risk should not be taken that might endanger the employee.
• Responsible for maintaining clear and concise logs of all nightly occurrences, suspicious activity, or anything out of the ordinary or requiring to follow up.
• Responds to guest requests quickly and courteously as reported by auditors.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and reports all accidents to supervisor immediately regardless of severity.
• Maintains safety and security of guests and employees at all times.
• Adheres to key control policy and procedure according to set standards.

• Maintains cellular phone log for emergency calls.
• Responsible for relieving the Night Auditor to guarantee that the front desk is never left unattended.
• Answers phone with proper telephone etiquette as outlined in our Guest Services Standards.
• Change videotape in VCR after your shift.
• Park/retrieve the guest's cars after hours.
• Check for room service trays and bring them down to the kitchen.
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate general maintenance equipment, telephone equipment, and Auto clerk.
• Ability to read, understand and speak English. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or to a small group of people including customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
