JOB SUMMARY 

The Garage Public Attendant is responsible for ensuring that the outside grounds of the property is maintained at the best possible condition at all times with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and employees. The Garage Public Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the outside grounds, parking garage & stairs, the Atrium floor & stairs. This includes all trash removal.

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS 

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with environmental services preferred.Physical requirements:
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects.

 General Requirements

  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with AFP Management Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

  • Maintain all grounds: pick up all trash, empty all receptacle
  • Sweep sidewalks, curbs, stairs, parking lot, circular front driveway
  • Power wash sidewalks, curbs, stairs, parking lot, circular front driveway
  • Clean light covers, remove all cobwebs
  • Clean parking equipment
  • Rack, weed, or plant
  • Shovel, and salt sidewalks or driveways
  • Operate floor machine to clean large tile floors
  • Operate carpet cleaner to clean carpet
  • Use mop and bucket to clean floors or stairs
  • Respond to Gate Calls to assist guests
  • Resolve parking equipment issues (ticket jams, gate issues)
  • Gate Attendant during special events
  • Change Light Bulbs
  • Painting
  • Use all tools and equipment safely and correctly.
