Under the general direction of the Membership Director, the Membership Coordinator is responsible for providing direct administrative assistance to the Membership and Communications department. Primary position responsibilities include maintaining membership files, enroll and process new members through the application process, facilitate new member introductions, and coordinate special membership events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

  • Assembles documents and attends Membership Committee meetings; take minutes
  • Maintains membership files
  • Creating Seasonal newsletters
  • Creates new and maintains existing content on club website and apps
  • Enroll and process new members through the application process
  • Provides member support throughout the duration of their membership process
  • First point of contact for member classification requests and changes
  • Is knowledgeable of Club bylaws and rules that involve membership issues and procedures.
  • Alongside the Membership Director, serves as contact for all membership inquiries
  • Updates and produces membership application packets and membership cards
  • Assists with prospect tours
  • Facilitates new member introductions - links new members with existing members with similar interests.
  • Coordinates membership events

  • Strong writing skills
  • Website / App management experience
  • Synergizes with all departments
  • Works as a team player to enhance and expand club programs, services and activities, to ensure the "Mizner experience."
  • Continuously strives for excellence in member service
    Composes letters for the General Manager's signature when necessary

Education Preferred

  • College degree and 3 to 5 years equivalent relevant work experience

Experience Required

  • Experience in a country club or hospitality/resort environment is preferred
  • Proficient in the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook). Experience with Photo Shop, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce and Jonas a plus)

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Candidate must demonstrate strong initiative, highly organized and meticulous attention to detail; proven excellent time management skills; friendly telephone presence and confidence to speak in front of crowds.

Reasoning Abilities

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
