CATERING & SALES MANAGER: Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space, events and other hotel services to customer groups, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, actively prospecting and qualifying new business. TERRITORY: Market divisions are geographic, and based upon current market conditions. Territories and/or assignments are subject to change based upon market conditions and staffing levels. The Catering Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Catering, and is accountable to the Director of Sales. The Catering Sales Manager will have room night goals and catering revenue goals. Primary responsibilities are in the negotiation and contracting of group business and events, but the Catering Sales Manager will also have assignments in individual travel markets, based on their geographic market areas. Responsibilities include selling meeting space, food & beverage, guest rooms and other hotel services to customers through corporate & social accounts, associations, travel agencies, individual travel and wholesale groups.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Director of Catering

Interfaces with: Director of Sales & Marketing, Hotel customers, Sales/ Catering Department and hotel associates along with Corporate Headquarters

  • Must report to work on time as per scheduled shift start time. Must be able to comply with any/ all hotel attendance & punctuality standards, expectations and policies.
  • Must be able to work an extremely flexible schedule. (May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays).

  • Excellent organizational skills are essential, must be able to multi-task, have outstanding attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and attention to detail.

  • Produce monthly catering related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility.

  • Contracting: Remain responsible for targeting the financial goals of PHM through the use of timely, accurate and binding Group/ Social contract negotiations within PHM approved standards.
  • Communication: Responsible for ongoing and open communication within the Catering, Sales and Banquets as well as Senior Management and all Associates. Must Be detailed oriented and exhibit excellent follow-through and responsibility.
  • Responsible for selling and servicing events and coordinating details of all arrangements for InterContinental The Clement Group and Wedding/ Social clients in areas of event /menu planning and Banquet Event orders.
  • Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
  • Consistently demonstrate and promote the InterContinental and Pacific Hotel Management values and philosophy to include, but not limited to:
