The Orchard Hotel and the Orchard Garden Hotel are San Francisco's Elegant and Eco-Friendly Boutique Hotels. Our hotels feature beautifully appointed accommodations suited for the casual or business travelers.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Steward/Dishwasher. They will be in charge of the cleanliness of dishes, utensils, pots, production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen. To distribute/store clean pots, dishes, and utensils. Empty trash cans as required. Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and comply with department dress code. Follow safety regulations, report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the Supervising Chef.

The work schedule is 3 days/week, 6-hour shifts.

Reports To: Restaurant Manager 

Job Objective: Perform a number of kitchen activities including washing pots, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

Key Areas of Accountability: 
• Wash dishes, utensils and pots
• Operate dishwashing equipment
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes, and utensils
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
• Empty trash containers as required
• Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with the department dress code
• Follow safety regulations; report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor Chef
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
• Other duties as assigned



Qualifications: 
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required. Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene. Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.

*Education/Experience: Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required. Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene. Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.

*Language Skills: Ability to follow verbal instructions in English
