JOB OVERVIEW: Transport guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner using safe driving practices in between performing duties of house person.

This is a dual position which requires the person to have a good drivers license and must want to CLEAN AND DRIVE!

REPORTS TO:        Front Office Manager    

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Comprehend and abide by all traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport terminal or other designated site. 
  2. Park guest vehicles and/or retrieve valet parked guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner; use claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery of vehicle. Move from door post to and from other areas throughout the hotel in response to customer needs. 
  3. Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Open car doors for arriving and departing hotel customers.
  4. Respond immediately to customer inquiries regarding hotel features, services and assistance. Provide clear and understandable directions to hotel facilities and nearby attractions. 
  5. Maintain driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility ensuring ample space for passenger and luggage loading and unloading. 
  6. Listen, understand and respond immediately to guest and associate inquiries and requests for assistance.
  7. Lift luggage, packages and boxes from cars, buses, vans and carts, placing items on the ground, onto baggage carts, conveyors or other vehicles. 
  8. Clearly communicate the features, and services of the hotel facilities.
  9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 
  10. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
  11. Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.
  12.  Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
  13.  Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
  14.  Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
  15.  Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor.
  16.  Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  17.  Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition.   Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
