Marketing and PR Manager - Job Description - L-Eat Catering

Reports to: Owner and Executive Chef, Tony Loschiavo and Deirdre Anderson, Director of Catering.

As the Marketing and PR Manager it is your responsibility to maintain the L-Eat brand through the image portrayed both online and in print both on a day to day basis and through a long term strategy.

Job Duties:

  • Designing advertisements for various magazines such as Toronto Life, Wedding Bells as well as industry publications like Biz Bash and TSEvents
  • Develop and execute promotions (via direct mail, Summerlicious) and special events at the restaurant.
  • Design POP materials (including menus, billfold inserts, coupons, etc.) for the restaurant/catering
  • Assist L-eat sales team with promotional + design materials as required (brochures, station signs, invitations)
  • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests
  • Web administration duties: updating menus + other content online for two different websites
  • Managing our social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Google+) and posting monthly articles on our blog
  • Photography at L-eat Catering events, updating gallery on website and promoting events via social media
  • Liaise with our web company regarding monthly SEO tasks to complete
  • Manage our public relations and generating press for our companies (via press releases, building relationships with food writers/magazine editors
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics contractor; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  • Designing and updating of employee business cards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Self-motivated and task driven
  • Great eye for detail
  • Strong working knowledge MAC computers and software
  • Proficient in Adobe Suit, google analytics, basic web development
  • 2-3 years in a similar role and industry
  • Related university degree
