The General Manager is responsible for planning and managing the operations of the hotel to achieve over-all satisfaction. The General Manager is responsible for short and long term planning and day-to-day operations. Recommends the hotel's budget, marketing and business plans. Position is responsible for the direct supervision of the hotel's management team and the indirect supervision of all hotel employees. The General Manager has ultimate responsibility for the overall satisfaction and achievement of the hotel's goals.

General Manager oversees ALL operating departments including, but not limited to: Front Office, Engineering, Facilities, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Sales & Marketing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

> •Owns and manages the relationship with the owner

  • Directly responsible for the sales and revenue management strategy and implementation of the hotel
  • Survey, review and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs and comments in order to be proactive and adapt with business intelligence
  • Manage the operations of the hotel in order to maximize profitability and to ensure superior guest service and product quality
  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage the hotel's annual and long term operations, sales and marketing, capital, revenue, expense and profit goals to meet/exceed owner and corporate management expectations
  • Identify ROI projects; build and present the business case to ownership
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects maintain/upgrade quality standards and property image
  • Ensures optimal compliance with corporate focus audit
  • Manages performance issues that arise within the management team
  • Work directly with the Human Resources function, to ensure appropriate hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling and developing of ambassadors
  • Conducts a daily briefing with management on current key activities
  • Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
  • Ensures guest and ambassador satisfaction, while maintaining market competitiveness and exceptional financial performance
  • Anticipate and address guest issues and establish proactive processes to promote guest satisfaction

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • MUST HAVE MINIMUM 3 YEARS GENERAL MANAGER EXPERIENCE PREFERABLY A HILTON PROPERTY
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations and administration to include : budgeting, forecasting, human resources.
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
  • Must have exceptional sales/marketing, pricing, and revenue management competencies
  • Must have the ability to understand global markets that affect the business of the hotel
  • Must perform well under stress and be adaptable to changing work environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communication at all levels
