Job Summary:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Breakfast Cook to ensure the highest standards of quality in the food and beverage operations, including product and recipe standards. Assist in maximizing the profitability of food and beverage operations. Contribute to the success of the restaurant as a team player. 

 

Status: Temporary

Duration: March 6- April 6, 2019 (1 month)

Hours: Monday- Friday 5:00 AM-11:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

STARTING Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Escorts incoming and outgoing hotel guests to and from rooms assists with luggage and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Prepares and directs preparation of food according to prescribed menus and recipes
  • Follows established procedures in cooking, baking sanitation, and related activities
  • Determines proper cooking time and temperature
  • Takes inventory of supplies on hand and order food supplies, ingredients and other consumables on a scheduled basis as determined by the menu and estimated number of diners
  • Clean and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Prepare palatable meals according to specified menu and schedule with a minimum of waste
  • Use standard food preparation utensils such as knives, spoons, tongs, and whips
  • Operate power-driven equipment such as a meat slicer or mixer
  • Operate common kitchen equipment.
  • Train and coordinate the work of part-time assistants engaged in food preparation
  • Perform all physical inventories and keep records
  • Observe and monitor objects and people's behavior to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards
  • Work cooperatively with other employees and the general public
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education/Experience:

  • Culinary training or degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory
  • Knowledge of:
  • methods, materials, and practices of volume food preparations;
  • sanitary methods used in food preparation and related activities;
  • inventory and ordering methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Excellent Math skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Must be able to comprehend and implement instructions correctly.
