The position of the Chef de Partie is responsible for working one of the pastry production stations in a state of art production site. He/she will be in direct contact with the Pastry Sous Chef and Pastry Executive Sous Chef for all instructions on the station daily. The Pastry Chef de Partie should be an expert at particular station while having a working knowledge of all stations in the pastry production by following recipes and standards, train employees and maintain health and safety standards and high quality.

Essential Functions
Manage day to day production needs from assigned station
Maintain a high-quality level of motivations and team spirit while working with employees in assigned station
Communicate effectively to pastry team in regard to all production needs assigned by pastry sous chef or pastry executive sous chef
Assist with inventory checks when necessary
Attend any meetings and training required by supervisor to obtain knowledge for new products and operational processes
Ensure that all perishable items are stored quickly and efficiently to avoid unnecessary waste
Provide adequate training for all equipment and make sure to inform the Pastry Executive Sous Chef for any maintenance needs
Responsible to escalate issues related to quality and quantity of production levels to Pastry Sous Chefs or Pastry Executive Sous Chef
Handle trails and on the job interviews of pastry positions when assigned
Comply with and fully understand the laws and regulations regarding food safety, health and safety, hygiene and sanitation

Requirements
3-5 years of experience in a high-volume pastry production, (or similar environment)
French pastry experience highly preferred
Professional pastry degree (4 years or more)
Knowledge and experience in all aspects of the pastry production
Ability to lead and mentor a team
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Availability to work shifts of 7am to 5:00pm, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs and must be able to push or pull up to 150lbs during the shift
