JOB OVERVIEW: A night auditor provides excellent customer service to guests and keeps the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly at night. They assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts leftover from the day shift. A night auditor handles late night check-ins, manages guest requests and accepts reservations.

 

REPORTS TO:        Front Desk Manager

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
  2. Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
  3. Schedule guest wake-up calls and reservations for the following day
  4. Verify that all End of Day (EOD) work has been performed by other departments
  5. Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
  6. Answer phones and place reservations
  7. Run EOD computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift
  8. Prepare guest bills for next-day checkouts
  9. Review high balance report
  10. Review in house guest balances for billing
  11. Balance cash drawers and record receipts

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

 Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the     hospitality industry

 Basic accounting and facilities management skills

 Basic math skills

 An eye for detail

 Good problem-solving skills

 Strong customer service skills

 The ability to multitask

 Strong written and verbal communication skills

 Availability to work overnight
