Position Overview

Our Front Office Director will be responsible for managing the operation of the entire Front Desk Staff in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. In This position you will be responsible for Managing and providing all guests with quality service prior to and throughout their stay creating the perfect Hotel stay experience. The Front Office director must be able to effectively coordinate and work with all other hotel departments to ensure a seamless experience from Check-in to Check-out.

 

As a member of the executive team and head of the Front desk you will be expected to lead by example and guide your team into achieving outstanding service and performance goals while motivating everyone to work proactively and ensure the success of the property.

Key responsibilities

 

Staff

  • Manage Front Desk Agents/Bellman/PBX
  • Manage all scheduling of FD staff
  • Manage all FD daily duties
  • Manage all FD staff vacation requests
  • Manage all FD staff corrective and disciplinary actions
  • Manage and maintain all FD standards according to hotel standard operating procedures and culture
  • Manage and maintain all FD department moral
  • Manage and maintain all FD staff grievances
  • Manage all FD staff recruitment/hiring and onboarding procedures
  • Manage all FD staff training and training schedules

 

Sales and Reservations

  • Manage rooms standards with housekeeping director
  • Manage daily room allocations along with sales/housekeeping
  • Assist sales director in daily sales
  • Management of special requests with housekeeping/sales
  • Monitor all V.I.P's, special guests and requests.

 

FD Department

  • Manage and maintain all FD standard and procedures
  • Manage FD department supplies
  • Manage FD budget
  • Manage all FD department schedule and payroll
  • Manage all FD staff onboarding procedures
  • Manage all FD systems
  • Manage all daily arrivals and departures in coordination with sales/reservations and housekeeping
  • Manage correspondence and handling of guest complaints
  • Maintain guest satisfaction in accordance to hotel standard
  • Management of daily departmental pass-on
  • Attend daily executive staff meeting
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all staff
  • Deal effectively with people, creating teamwork, motivating and using an uplifting and lead-by-example leadership approach
  • Produce and manage departmental sops
