Position Responsibilities:

We are searching for individuals that are looking for more than just another job!  Front Desk Agents are able to directly impact not only our guests' impressions of the hotel, but their perception of the entire city of Nashville.  We consider our staff to be one of our most important amenities as we are always willing to provide recommendations, directions, or just a friendly smile to our guests :)  

  • As a Front Desk Agent, your responsibilities might include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Greeting guests and completing the check-in steps. These include confirming guest booking is correct, collecting/processing credit card and cash payments, coding electronic keys, reviewing property policies, showing guests to their rooms, assisting with luggage as needed, and updating booking in front desk system.
  • Assisting guests with check-out by confirming bill is paid in full, collecting keys, storing luggage as needed, and updating bookings.
  • Conversing with guests in a friendly manner, answering guest questions, and providing directions and/or recommendations on popular sites, restaurants, and general things to do and see in Nashville.
  • Answering phone inquiries and processing phone reservations through our website.
  • Monitoring front desk email inbox and responding to guest questions or forwarding to proper department.
  • Handling guest concerns or complaints and involving manager as necessary.
  • Ensuring daily housekeeping forecast is accurate by indicating rooms to be cleaned due to check-out and rooms to be readied for check-in.
  • Making regular rounds during your shift to ensure that common areas, kitchen, and washrooms are clean and neat. Light cleaning duties may be required as necessary including emptying trash bins, general tidying up, wiping surfaces, and ensuring paper products are in stock in washrooms.
  • Communicating important information or events from your shift to the relieving Front Desk Agent and providing written summary in internal system.
  • Assist with private events; duties would vary based upon the event.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This job requires continuous movement, ascending or descending stairs, climbing ladders, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving up to 25 - 30 pounds.  Occasionally you may move or lift up to 50 pounds. You must be able to stand, walk, and bend for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.

Pay, Schedule, and Location:

This position is located at FieldHouse Jones Nashville at 811 Main St., Nashville, TN, 37206.  Shifts are designated as: Morning 7am-3:30pm, Evening 3pm-11:30pm, and Overnight 11pm-7:30am. All applicants must be available for 2 to 5 shifts per week.  The exact days of the week will vary with scheduling and business needs.  As we are in the hospitality market, it is expected that all applicants are regularly available for scheduled shifts on weekends and holidays. Requested days off are granted according to business needs.

 

Frontdesk Agents may also be scheduled to assist with private events as they are booked.  

 

Compensation is hourly; starting rate based upon experience and the regular shift worked.

 

Benefits include time and a half premium paid on holidays, ability to accrue paid time off, and full-time employees are eligible to join the company's group health insurance plan after 60 days (25% coverage, Only PPO option available).
