Job Purpose:  To manage and maintain the rooms and food & beverage established revenue, cost and quality standards.  To act as liaison between General Manager and department managers.  To meet or exceed hotel budget, guest satisfaction guidelines and franchisee expectations.

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Oversees programs that result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.  Receives and responds to guest complaints in a timely manner.
  2. Ensure that daily and future inventory is managed to maximize all potential room revenue and ensure that budgeted room revenues are met.  Manage all aspects of One Yield V2, HPP, MARSHA and FOSSE PMS.
  3. Generate an atmosphere that provides security and safety for all internal and external guests.
  4. Oversee FOM and F&B Supervisor who will maintain cost control systems for inventories.  Participate in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel.
  5. Monitor and maintain the property specific safety and security systems to protect the asset.
  6. Oversee transient & package opportunities as well as hotel participation in brand specific programs.
  7. Ensure high associate morale by rewarding team members who meet or exceed guest expectations.
  8. Oversee implementation and development of training programs and ensure compliance with all brand systems and programs.
  9. Maintain compliance with all municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations, directly involved with operational recruitment and disciplinary decisions.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

  1. Computer skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint. 
  2. Brand specific Property Mgmt System FOSSE, OYV2, HPP, MARSHA.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret business records and statistical reports.
  5. Ability to use mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets.
  6. Ability to analyze and interpret policies and implement them.
  7. Ability to make decisions based on reports, interviews and personal experience.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Revenue Management experience, hands on
  • Experience in Food & Beverage Management

Education

Bachelors Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality, Business or related field

Experience

2 years supervisory experience in operations with 2 years line level operations experience, and 1 year of direct revenue management experience within Marriott; OR, an equivalent combination of education & experience
