Our Community

Allegro is coming to Parkland! The independent living, assisted living and memory care community is anticipated to open in 2019. The Parkland property will have a similar luxury design known of Allegro communities throughout Florida.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the provision of high quality services and resident satisfaction programs needed and/or desired by residents.
  • Maintain resident satisfaction through ongoing solicitation and measurement of resident feedback, implementation of resident suggestions, interactive problem solving with residents, and an annual evaluation/quality assurance program.
  • Answer inquiry calls and internet inquiries using appropriate forms to communicate all activity to Sales and Marketing.
  • Plan and coordinate all resident move-ins to community (all levels of care) and on site transfers, working closely with the Lead Senior Living Advisor and the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Complete pre-move-in inspection and check keys to apartment 72 hours prior to move-in and report any unfavorable conditions to Maintenance Director and Executive Director.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, schedule and facilitate resident agreement signings, and assure smooth transition into community.
  • Hand deliver move-in gift the day of move-in.
  • Plan, coordinate and administer the new resident orientation program. Monitor and evaluate for necessary changes and /or improvements.
  • Act as resident liaison and advocate to the Executive Director as needed.
  • Actively communicate and work with families and Independent Living residents to assist in safe, respectful and appropriate transitions to Assisted Living or Memory Care. Meet with associates and evaluate feedback to promote safety and appropriate level of care as needed.
  • Communicate and make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding resident concerns brought to their attention.
  • Develop methods for coordination of services with other resident services, to promote the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
  • Provide services and interactions throughout the Community which delight residents, prospects, and the greater community with inspired experiences which result in referrals and high occupancy.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings and training as directed by Company policy and the Executive Director.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when on duty.
  • Be constantly watchful of signs that residents are not able to function independently or a change in resident's behavior. Report all signs to the Executive Director following the Company policies and procedures.
  • Report any and all deferred maintenance, vandalism or hazardous situations to the Executive Director as discovered and take appropriate action as necessary.
  • Ensure understanding of and compliance with all regulations regarding residents' rights.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident, associate, Community or Company information deemed as such.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Requirements/Certifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Related four-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in the senior living industry or related field.
  • Working knowledge of practices and procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to senior living care.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior adults in a courteous and friendly manner demonstrating patience, compassion, integrity and discretion.
  • Creativity and excellent organizational skills vital.
  • Must have working knowledge of appropriate Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must possess high-energy/enthusiasm, leadership, rapport building, and superior verbal/public speaking skills.
  • Must be able to work independently within a team context.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Must pass a physical having no signs or symptoms of a communicable disease including tuberculosis where required. Freedom form tuberculosis must be documented on an annual basis where required.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
  • Must have means of transportation.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for the vehicle being operated.
  • Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record; the record must be checked annually.

Suspensions for certain offenses will not be considered for the purposes of this requirement, i.e.: unpaid tickets, failure to appear, underage use of tobacco, and failure to pay child support.
    • Any major DMV conviction in the last five (5) years. Major convictions include, but are not limited to: DUI, DWI, speeding in excess of 25 mph, reckless driving, careless driving, vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or any conviction punishable by incarceration.
    • Two (2) or more at fault accidents within the last three (3) years.
    • Three (3) or more moving violations within the last five (5) years.
  • Must be able to pass a driving safety test while driving the Community vehicle.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age but not more than seventy (70) years of age. If over 70 years of age, the driver must provide documentation from their primary care physician that they are capable of operating the assigned vehicle. This documentation must be renewed every year.
