The role of Director, Sales is a critical leadership role working closely with the Vice President, Business Development to develop and inspire high performing sales,marketing, and operational strategies to achieve exceptional levels of excellence in a cloud-oriented business. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• B2B technology sales experience
• General Management experience
• Marketing and Business Development Experience
• Team Management and Time Prioritization 
• Strong existing book of business to build on 
• Ability to work with line of business owners outside of IT 
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and documentation skills. 
• Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Identifying and targeting areas in which a business can improve operation
• Monitoring revenue margins
• Overseeing employee productivity
• Researching and implementing new directives for business growth and prosperity
• Developing and implementing guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment and promotion
• Develop and implement automation for cloud-based sales
• Streamline and aggregate disparate systems for growth, involving and quoting
• Collaborate with leadership to develop sales strategies in your territory with a target prospect list and a regional sales plan
• Manage fast sales cycles and present the value of our solutions to C-level executives
• Manage and grow existing relationships and accounts to achieve quota
• Proactively reach out to prospective clients by phone, email, social media, etc. to generate new business
• Qualify prospects, as well as follow up on inbound leads and sales inquiries
• Pipeline management and sales process management, including effective forecasting and opportunity closure
• Coordinate with VP of Business Development to develop marketing plans that accelerate our customer sales cycle
• Consistently and accurately record all sales activities in our CRM (Pipedrive)

Education/ Experience Required 

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a closely related field. At least 5 plus years of quota - carrying, direct technology sales experience; experience in identifying, developing, negotiating and closing large-scale technology deals with complex sales cycles; positioning and selling technology to new customers and new market segments; significant industry knowledge, including a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure, AWS, Google, Rackspace, etc.).
