Description

Responsible for general hotel and grounds cleaning, safety, and light maintenance duties.  Occasionally responsible for overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites. Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Continually clean and tidy hotel lobby, outside property, and all public and all employee space as directed.
  • Prepare maintenance work orders as necessary.
  • Shampoo carpets as requested.
  • Straighten, arrange and wipe down furniture on the patio and in the pool area.
  • Clean sidewalks, parking lots and steps.
  • Check housekeeping cart for supplies, stock as needed.
  • Strip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite.
  • Clean rooms/ suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows / tracks. Reports rooms as clean and available.
  • Replenish linen and guest amenities.
  • Vacuum corridors and hallways.
  • Follow special instructions given by Front Desk with regard to guest requests.  Deliver towels and other related items to guestrooms as requested.
  • Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests)
  • Update Housekeeping log with any guests requests as well as reported problems that needed attention.
