Valor Hospitality Partners is searching for an experienced and proven Director to lead and manage all aspects of sales & marketing for two incredible hotels in beautiful, Northern New Jersey. The right candidate will lead and direct revenue generation activities for a newly renovated Delta Hotel by Marriott Basking Ridge and the soon-to-open Somerset Hills Hotel - Tapestry Collection by Hilton. These two incredible hotels are situated just a couple miles from one another and offer two distinctive experiences for a wide range of business, leisure and group guests.

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales and marketing activities for two branded properties. Lead, motivate and support the sales, catering and conference service teams to maximize revenues and morale. Develop and implement business plans and sales and marketing strategies for the hotels that ensures attainment of sales goals and profitability, while exceeding revenue targets, growing market share, and developing new account business.

  • Provide direction, motivation, support and encouragement to all members of the sales team to ensure revenue goals are met.
  • Develop marketing strategies that utilize historical, current and future hotel/market trends and create a selling strategy that maximize revenues and builds customer loyalty.
  • Define specific deployment and market/account responsibilities for self and all sales managers.
  • Identify business opportunities by being aware of prospective clients and evaluating their position in the marketplace to leverage the sales relationship to maximize revenues and promote long-term relationships.
  • Target high revenue sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established.
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing guidance to team members and property leadership on prospective business opportunities, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer smart revenue growth.
  • Aggressively pursue all appropriate opportunities within designated market segments through outside customer solicitation and relationship building including: Outside Sales Calls, Civic/Association Events, Trade Events, Industry Vendor Relationships, etc.
  • Produce monthly/weekly sales reports and accurate revenue forecasts and monitor performance to ensure a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interactions.
  • Ensure the understanding and implementation of Brand sales initiatives, tools and resources.
  • Promptly follows-up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
