The Orchard Hotel and the Orchard Garden Hotel are San Francisco's Most Elegant and Eco-Friendly Boutique Hotels. Our hotels feature beautifully appointed accommodations suited for the casual or business travelers. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full-time Reservations Supervisor to monitor, review and audit all reservations and processes in our hotels, in order to optimize and maximize its revenues.  Individual must have attention to detail and work independently.

Responsibilities: 

  • Review daily arrival report and look for any potential discrepancies, duplicate reservations (between and within hotels) VIP or business opportunities
  • Review and respond to morning pass-ons from the Front Office department including the night audit
  • Work closely with the reservation agent(s) in ensuring proper processing of all reservations
  • Assist our groups department with entering and updating group rooming lists
  • In combination with the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Supervisor is responsible for communicating packages and promotions details to front desk managers and staff
  • Review all arrivals to ensure rates and source of business coding is accurate, and look for potential discrepancies in rates or duplicate reservations
  • Manage hotel room inventory DAILY
  • Assist with rate shopping reports to ensure rate parity throughout all booking channels
  • Closely monitor oversell strategies in conjunction with the reservations Manager and reservation agent.
  • Assist Reservations Manager with month-end reporting and price comparison
  • Work very closely with reservations manager to complete travel agent and OTA commission audits
  • Performs any and all other duties assigned and/or required by General Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Some college. Degree in Travel Industry is a plus or closely related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to work to deadlines
  • At least one year work experience in hotel industry
  • Ability to identify and quickly react to demand and inform Reservations Manager/Revenue Director of any sudden pick up so that hotel pricing is adjusted to remain competitive with the Market.
  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate well with a variety of positions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business evaluation and analysis skills and ability to independently exercise discretion in connection with business decisions.
  • Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
  • Comfortable being a positive agent of change management
  • Expertise in working with Excel and producing reports using other computer applications.
  • Confidence, ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Have a "hands on" approach regarding day to day task management.
