New Albany Country Club is now accepting resumes for an Assistant Catering Operations Manager.

This position assists the Catering Operations Manager in coordinating and supervising all catering funtions to ensure complete success of all the functions catered by the New Albany Country Club. Ensure every member and sponsored guest receives the quality service that not only meets but exceeds their expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Responsible for initial and ongoing training of the catering service staff.

Responsible for all set up and clean up of private functions using opening and closing check lists.

Regularly check with catering staff for timeliness, assurance that all specific details are met and/or changes have been made for every function.

Responsible for all the personnel working Off Property, including training, motivating, reviewing and supervising.

Supervise/coordinate service flow for all functions, communicating directly with kitchen and bar. 

Communicate with host before, during and after the function.

Monitor all function initial food and beverage quantities, add ons, and document for Catering Operations Manager.

Ring catering chits in IBS as needed.

Complete guest comment sheet for all functions and review with Catering Operations Manager.

Continuously review and enforce all service standards with Catering staff using ongoing training to maximize service potential.

Attend and be engaged in weekly catering meetings.

Greet all members and hosts by name.

Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of catering service area, cages and equipment.

Enforce the rules of the Employee Handbook, taking disciplinary action if needed.

Maintain positive attitude.

Assist in developing usage plan for Food & Beverage.

Perform duties of opening/closing manager upon request.

Qualifications:

2 years supervisory experience in banquet operations with 3 years resort or hotel operations experience; OR, an equivalent level of education and experience.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $42,000 plus commission
