POSITION PROFILE:
Properly set, clean and maintain all function rooms, service corridors, storerooms and public function areas in a safe, accident-free manner. Provide excellent customer service and work closely with guests, Sales, and the Food and Beverage departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
 Check server's and house person's BEOs to ensure that all information is accurate.
 Set rooms, buffets, and tables according to BEO specifications and Supervisor instructions. Check electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords for equipment in use.
 Perform all guest contact activities or guest request with a cordial, efficient and professional manner while maintaining a commitment to excellence.
 Ensure that all storerooms are clean, organized and secured. Assist in equipment inventory as scheduled. Attend staff set- up and technical training on a regular basis.
 Organize Banquet hall to ensure a productive, safe and energy conserving work environment. Ensure proper maintenance (cleaning and repair) of all equipment
 Ensure that all unused rooms are set to department's standards.
 Constantly communicate all concerns to Banquet Manager
 Assist the servers during service by responding to their requests; notify supervisor immediately of any difficulties.
 Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow associates in all departments.
 Enforce all safety and sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience: Six months hotel or convention center -banquet food/beverage services environment. Experience and knowledge in all facets of banquet operations, convention services setup and a good understanding of AV equipment operations preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Able to read, speak and understand English. Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
