Technical Support Analyst

ResortSuite is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our Hospitality Software Support Team in Toronto. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to client issues and assist them in resolving software and network issues encountered while running the ResortSuite application. These issues may include software, hardware, database and/or third party applications. Through the traditional support activities you will investigate, query and resolve customer support requests in a timely manner. the selected candidate needs to have some experience working with a Oracle Database and with SQL Plus to be considered for the position. 

Required Skills and Background

  • Intermediate level of knowledge of Oracle and SQLPlus
  • Knowledge of computer networking
  • Exposure to incident tracking systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English is necessary, as well as the ability to handle clients on the phones
  • Fundamental troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in software application is an asset
  • Minimum of a Bachelors' Degree, College Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Exposure to Hospitality Industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • install Oracle DB and ResortSuite Application
  • Be part of a phone hunt group, answer calls, log tickets
  • Analyze and resolve client issues in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and multi-task client incidents
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Be part of on call pager rotation

The Candidate should be able to work independently and function well within the support team and across other teams in the organization. Efficient communication skills and effective relationship building with the clients is an asset.
