Job Description

Warwick Hotel is looking for a HR Coordinator to support the organization by taking on HR responsibilities, including assisting with recruiting, preparing payroll and supervising benefits administration.  Additional duties include leading safety compliance programs, employee appreciation programs, and record keeping.

We have a great team, varied work, and are conveniently located near Union Square and multiple transportation lines.

Requirements :

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Preferred- Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant training/certifications
  • 2+ years related previous experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other applicable computer systems.
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Adhere to standards for grooming, dress, and appearance consistent with hotel atmosphere.
  • Know and enforce laws, regulations, policies, and best business practices.
  • Prefer previous experience with ADP or equivalent payroll software
  • Prefer previous experience with CA/SF regulations and standards

Work Duties/Functions:

Recruiting

  • Create and maintain postings for open positions
  • Lead and/or assist department managers in conducting search and selection process to recruit candidates and complete hires
  • Complete hire and orientation process

Payroll/Benefits/Compensation

  • Maintain and manage compensation structure and changes in consultation with GM and department managers.
  • Administer benefit programs and provide education and notification to employees.
  • Prepare and process Payroll for 60-70 employees using ADP Workforce - training and support available from Warwick Corporate Office. 

Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; assisting with investigations; maintaining records
  • Maintains historical human resource records by maintaining the filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to HR and payroll matters. (San Francisco/California/Federal)
  • Prepare all other HR reports and analyses as requested and perform other general and administrative functions as may be required.
  • As needed, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups to managers, clients, customers and ownership.
  • Maintain and update safety programs and documentation
  • Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

Employee Relations

  • Assist management in documenting and administering disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Be available to receive and resolve employee grievances;.
  • Plan and prepare employee recognition events and programs
