We have transformed this hotel with a complete renovation and have re-opened as the dazzling Marriott Orlando Downtown, conveniently located adjacent to the downtown UCF campus and nestled in the future Creative Village.  We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor for our hotel that features 297 redesigned guest rooms and 15,992 square feet of sophisticated meeting accommodations.

Our Housekeeping Supervisor motivates and supports their associates in Housekeeping and Laundry, who are imperative for making first impressions with our guests with flawless guest rooms and an immaculate hotel property.  They make sure that the department runs smoothly, and the associates have their supplies, tools and information to do their job successfully.

 Responsibilities:

  • Maintains hotel & brand cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure standards are met.
  • Trains staff in all aspects of housekeeping, including guest service.
  • Ensure that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards.
  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery. Inspect linens and terry for damage.
  • Assist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
  • Ensures staff is trained to follow correct procedures for key control and lost-and-found.
  • Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies.
  • Works in partnership with the Housekeeping Manager to post and communicate all guest satisfaction results including all guest satisfaction forms, comment cards and guest letters.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates and ensures associates do the same within the team.
  • Display a positive, hands on leadership style to attract, retain and motivate the associates; schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline, as appropriate. 
  • Ensures recognition is taking place across areas of responsibility.
  • Follow procedures for processing payroll correctly to ensure correct payment of associate paychecks.
  • Perform all other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Create an environment that's engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, perform their best, and advance.

 

 Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

 Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Hotel Housekeeping experience desired.
  • Hotel Housekeeping Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Strong communication and hospitality skills.
