We are looking for a Full Time Manager of Risk Management & Safety who will assess and identify the potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity of the company.

                                        

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Advise the company on various types of risks (business, financial, legal, and security).
  • Identify potential threats and create plans to prevent and mitigate problems.
  • Meet with department heads and managers to determine their training needs. Develop, deliver, administer Job Safety Training and conduct training that help reduce overall risk.
  • Create, review, and evaluate all safety programs and ensure com-pliancy with local, state, and federal rules and regulations with the current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and ADA.
  • Assist in the review of major contracts, proposed facilities, and/or new program activities for loss and insurance implications.
  • Assist in investigations and reporting regarding accidents, injuries or illnesses, fire, property damage, and other risk/safety related incidents to ensure timely and compliant resolutions.
  • Provide oversight of Quality and Food Safety programs and evaluate for compliance through regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Review and analyze risk management programs for the effectiveness of coverage and to reduce costs and losses. Maintain control over the claims process for General Liability and Worker's Compensation to assure that claims are being settled fairly, consistently, and in the best interest of the company.
  • Must be able to perform other related duties as required. (Related duties as required are duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the class of work)
  • Must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in the risk management field. Must be highly perceptive & methodical. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and present plans in a convincing way. Experience with auditing and reporting procedures. Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations.
