  • Assists shipping and receiving with unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Matches received items to original order, checks quality and pricing, and reports discrepancies
  • Assists Purchasing Manager with daily orders and clerical tasks
  • Directs the stocking clerk where to store items in designated locations.
  • Ensures storeroom is accessible and safe and that all sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Rotates, labels and dates items appropriately and checks for quality.
  • Updates requisitions and assists with invoice updates in the computer system.
  • Assists in counting and recording physical inventory.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Sweeps, dusts and mops, and organizes warehouses and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wears the proper safety equipment
  • Performs stocking clerk duties when required

Reasoning Abilities

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
