Job Overview

Our unique, dual hotel property is looking for a friendly and professional Night Manager who will be responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work as well as all front desk functions during the overnight shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Performing Guest Service functions such as checking in and checking out of guests
  • Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis
  • Verify the status of all wake-up call requests and ensure they are properly handled
  • Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.  Make cash deposit
  • Act as PBX operator during the audit shift.
  • Working closely with all hotel departments to improve service delivery and efficiency
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Prepare month end reports and other management reports as required
  • Complete the update process on the front office system per established system guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and/or events as required by the company
  • Complete all necessary trainings with Marriott systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus At least 2 year of progressive experience as a night auditor/Manager
  • Understand and use math concepts in order to design a financial or economic system
  • Demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills and ability to motivate others and act as a change agent
  • Communication skills (written and oral) are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other cooks, wait staff or guests
  • Treats people with respect; Inspires the trust of others
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Friendly and hospitality focused
  • Attention to detail
  • Takes independent actions and calculated risks.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, stressful environment.
