Job Summary: 

Assists the Front Office Manager (FOM) with the front drive operations, to include scheduling the valet attendant, bellman and doorman.  Ensure and maintain orderly and expedited service to the guest in the hotel. Responsible for training and coaching as well as promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests and the hotel front drive.

Job Duties:

  • Assist FOM in directing and supervising the Valet Attendant, Bellmen and Doormen
  • Create a service environment focused on the guest, with a passion for high standards
  • Represent the hotel in a professional, positive and outgoing manner at all times
  • Assist in the preparation of work schedules for staff based on projected occupancy and staff availability
  • Train and encourage professionalism and teamwork with bellman, doorman & valet staff
  • Ensure policies and procedures are upheld and followed by bellman, doorman and valet staff
  • Maintain records for valet car tracking
  • Explain and promote hotel facilities and services; provides guests with information, such as local attractions, events, and directions
  • Respond to guests' needs including delivery of guests' mail/messages, dry cleaning and any other requests received from guests or front office staff
  • Ensure all accidents or near accident involving vehicles are reported to manager and security immediately
  • Inspect premises and public areas to assure maintenance and cleanliness of the front drive Lead and ensure appearance policies and professionalism of the Bell, Valet and Door team
  • Coordinate with parking garage management, collecting information regarding ins-and-outs for vehicles
  • Maintain proper emergency and security procedures
  • Maintain an orderly, secured baggage checkroom
  • Maintain customers' privacy
  • Communicate all maintenance and repair needs to appropriate individuals
  • Assist to maintain an inventory of supplies and  ordering
  • Ensure safety practices of employees and guests according to company policies and safety law throughout the hotel
  • Assist in the cleanliness of hotel
  • Respond promptly to customer needs
  • Perform House Attendant duties when required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record; required to operate manual and automatic vehicles

Qualifications

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Two (2) years' experience

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Basic purchasing and inventory skills needed.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Computer Skills

Basic Microsoft office skills needed, use of Property Management software is required

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
