We have transformed this hotel with a complete renovation and re-opened as the dazzling Marriott Orlando Downtown, conveniently located adjacent to the downtown UCF campus and nestled in the future Creative Village.  We are looking for a Food and Beverage Storeroom Attendant  for our hotel that features 297 redesigned guest rooms and 15,992 square feet of sophisticated meeting accommodations.

Our Food and Beverage Storeroom Attendant is able to multi-task, completing the responsibilities of receiving supplies, organizing the storeroom and freezers, and provide Utility/Dishwasher support as needed. They are energized by the fast paced bustle in the kitchen and being a valued player on the culinary team. They understand the importance of cleanliness, safe food handling, listening and helping other team members. 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in hotel, and deliver merchandise to appropriate location.
  • Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts.
  • Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
  • Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
  • Notify manager of low stock levels in a timely manner.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures per checklists.
  • The Utility will properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots.
  • Responsible for maintaining dish room and dish machine. Assists with cleaning other areas as requested.
  • Operate dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.
  • Sort, Clean, sanitize and store all pots, pans, china, silverware, flatware, dishware, glassware and storage supplies used within the Food and Beverage operation while adhering to all safety and sanitary guidelines.
  • Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Break down, clean, and sanitize the dish machine throughout your shift and at end of a shift.
  • Keep dish and other storage areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure all outlets and Banquet kitchens have the required amount of pots, pans, china, silverware, flatware, dishware and glassware to properly run their operation.
  • Ensure there are sufficient Queen Mary racks and Speed racks in which to place dirty dishware.
  • Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables and floors.
  • Operates floor cleaning equipment, maintains safe floor surfaces.
  • Removes all trash from kitchen areas, operates trash compactor, and clean loading dock each day.
  • Keeps cafeteria clean throughout the day.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time or through entire shift and move from area to area in the kitchen. Subject to exposure to temperature extremes and loud noise.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to physically remove dirty dishes, glassware, silverware and other utensils from trays and load them into the dishwasher continually.

 Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Storeroom Attendant experience desired.
  • Previous Utility experience a plus.
