We're looking for the best of the best in group sales to sell two of the premier hotels in Brooklyn - The historic Hotel Bossert in Brooklyn Heights and the new Hotel Indigo Williamsburg-Brooklyn in Williamsburg. The brand-new Hotel Indigo Williamsburg - Brooklyn offers 187 guest rooms and suites, 10,000 square feet of fantastic event space and stunning outdoor pool and sun-deck in the heart of the popular Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The stunning and renovated Hotel Bossert in Brooklyn Heights, opening in early 2020, offers 280 guest rooms and suites, 2,300 square feet of fantastic event space in the heart of the popular Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. This historic hotel, built in 1909 was famous in the 1920's for its Marine Roof, a two-level rooftop restaurant, that is being transformed into the most incredible Sky Bar in the boroughs, with breathtaking views of the East River and Manhattan! In the 1950's it was home to the Brooklyn Dodgers, who won the 1955 World Series and where fans bellowed "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" for Walter Alston, the Dodgers' manager.

Both hotels are easily accessible via multiple Subway lines and nearby stations. Overview 
The Complex Group Sales Manager optimizes group rooms, banquet and catering revenues for both properties by using effective sales skills. Leads the sales process for assigned groups and ensures a positive customer experience is provided throughout the entire sales cycle. Identifies solutions that meet customer goals and objectives and utilizes all available tools to ensure maximum event and revenue capture from assigned customer base. Cultivates and maintains relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance the overall business relationship with hotel. Serves as a resource for large, high-end event production in venue location/region and supports team as needed with guidance and training. Leads and supports Company initiatives, business strategies and Core Values.


Essential Responsibilities
:


Revenue Generation 

  • Drive Results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach, utilizing a consistent sales process and methodology. 
  • Maximize revenue opportunity for assigned customers by creating effective strategies for per-event revenue growth, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities. 
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that convey the value of the hotel and effectively solve customer challenges. 
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary to support the customer event experience. 
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporates into a solution to achieve established profitability guidelines. 

Relationship Management 

  • Deliver World-Class Service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers, other hotel departments and team members. 
  • Thoroughly research and understand customer history and previous experiences, in order to create more personalized customer experiences. 
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, and effectively resolve issues. 
  • Ensure all customer information is up to date and accurate in the Delphi at all times. 

 

Sales Accountability 

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline at all times that ensures achievement of established revenue targets. 
  • Ensure all known opportunities are in Delphi and completely accurate and updated at all times.
  • Learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and any new initiatives/programs that are implemented. 
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events. 
  • Support sales team members with pipeline management, creating effective sales strategies, and implementing best practices. 

Very competitive salary for the right candidate! Prior group sales experience with track record of accomplishments is required. Must be flexible to work weekends and Holidays EOE/AA.
