Staybridge Suites Orlando at SeaWorld seek a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The Housekeeping Supervisor will report to the Executive Housekeeper and will work closely with the hotel's housekeeping and guest front office departments. 

Job Purpose:  

As a Housekeeping Supervisor - you'll make sure our rooms and suites are always 'fresh and welcoming' for our guests after a busy day at work or visiting the parks - creating a haven for them to escape and relax in - or get that last bit of work done. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting in coaching, training and leading the housekeeping team members in the details of their work.
  • Inspecting rooms, training staff, assisting with inventory, coordinating expected arrivals/departures with Front Desk, and verifying daily room cleanings.
  • Observe performance, provides positive reinforcement and encourage improvement.
  • Ensure that every effort is made to create a great experience for every guest
  • Follow and enforce hotel policies and procedures
  • Manage and resolve all guest complaints in a timely, professional and courteous manner
  • Attend to daily operational requirements of the Housekeeping department including pre-shifts & team meetings
  • Initiate and monitor shift checklists for proper completion of tasks
  • Respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely manner
  • Help maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor of the staff
  • Inspect all rooms and public areas
  • Make beds in guest rooms.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom supplies in guest rooms.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replace light bulbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Requirements: 

  • The candidate must have a high level of energy and commitment to the hotel business
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Both English & Spanish skills preferred but not required.
  • Ability to carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Positive attitude and ability to deal with wide variety of people
