Job Purpose:  To provide the Front Office with Reception Agent services and operational support, in order to service our guests according to Company standards while exceeding their expectations.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • To provide and display excellent guest service skills, to Company standards.
  • To provide superior guest service upon check-in and checkout of each guest.
  • To respond to guest problems in a timely and professional manner, utilizing the empowerment process.
  • To answer telephones and respond to caller requests, inquiries.
  • To complete day and night shift task lists and audit reports.
  • To maintain rate and inventory levels.
  • To provide support to all Front Office areas.
  • To respond to guest concerns and solicit guest feedback.
  • To provide guest safety/security by ensuring confidentiality of guest information, handling guestroom keys and providing safety deposit boxes.
  • To maintain guest accounts.
  • To handle and operate cash as per Company policies and procedures.
  • To participate in the daily pre-shift meetings.
  • To operate Corporate Courtesy Vehicle when required
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Job Skills: 

  1. Speak clearly and listen carefully.
  2. Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
  3. Communicate well with many different kinds of people.
  4. Change easily and frequently from one activity to another such as from typing to interviewing, to searching in a directory, to using a telephone.
  5. Use eyes, hands, and fingers accurately while operating a switchboard or computer keyboard.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 year current Front Office in a 4 Star plus environment and/or related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel required;
  • Knowledge of OnQ Hilton PMS would be an asset.
  • Service-oriented with problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Professional detail-oriented and works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hospitality Management diploma or degree preferred.
  • Additional language(s) an asset.
  • High school graduation diploma required.
  • Must have a valid Ontario G Driver's License.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts; days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years current Front Office experience in a 4 Star plus environment and/or related experience

Licenses/Certifications
