Summary: To patrol hotel premises in order to maintain order, enforce rules and regulations, and insure observance of applicable laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Patrol resort facility on foot and serve as a general security/public safety presence to deter inappropriate activity.
• Answers radio calls from the PBX or other departments with requests for assistance.
• Respond to emergency situations involving guests and employees by following Hacienda Del Sol's Emergency Response Plan.
• Interact with guests of the resort to provide legendary customer service and assistance when needed.
• Monitor and secure all spaces and access doors. Be present in the Food and Beverage areas around closing time to ensure employee safety and loss prevention.
• Assist with internal investigations relating to sensitive security issues involving both guests and resort employees.
• Participate in as-necessary briefings with Security and Resort Safety Manager and prepare detailed reports concerning matters investigated and work performed.
• Coordinate with Guest Information pertaining to resort's lost & found services.
• Provide assistance to other resort departments as needed regarding safety and security matters.
• Enforce and maintain safe, orderly parking throughout designated resort parking areas when needed.
• Prepare written nightly reports as directed.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
Listed below are the qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability to perform this job successfully:
• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clear criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
• Previous experience in security services or law enforcement or military service preferred.
• AZ Guard Card and NLW certifications. (Can also be provided through the resort based on employment.)
• Basic First Aid & CPR.
• Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve in adverse situations.
• Must provide prompt and cordial service to all employees and hotel guests.
• Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.

• Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
