Warwick Hotel is looking for a HR Manager to support the organization by taking on HR responsibilities, including recruiting, payroll and benefits administration, compliance and record keeping, and employee relations.

We have a great team, varied work, and are conveniently located near Union Square and multiple transportation lines.

This position is responsible for overseeing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks, ensuring that we are maintaining complete and accurate records,communicating with the managers of departments about needed information, policy changes, participating in long-term planning and forecasting, and solving problems as they arise.

Requirements :

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Preferred- Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant training/certifications
  • 2+ years related previous experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other applicable computer systems.
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Adhere to standards for grooming, dress, and appearance consistent with hotel atmosphere.
  • Know and enforce laws, regulations, policies, and best business practices.
  • Previous experience with ADP or equivalent payroll software
  • Prefer previous experience with California & San Francisco regulations and standards

Work Duties/Functions:

Recruiting

  • Create and maintain postings for open positions
  • Lead and/or assist department managers in conducting search and selection process to recruit candidates and complete hires.
  • Complete hire and orientation process

Payroll/Benefits/Compensation

  • Maintain and manage compensation structure and changes in consultation with GM and department managers.
  • Administer benefit programs and provide education and notification to employees.
  • Prepare and process Payroll for 60 employees using ADP Workforce

Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by maintaining the filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statutes and their comparable state and local laws (where applicable): Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA and NLRA.
  • Prepare all other HR reports and analyses as requested and perform other general and administrative functions as may be required.
  • As needed, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • As needed, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups to managers, clients, customers and ownership.
  • Maintain and update safety programs and documentation
  • Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

Employee Relations

  • Training managers to coach employees and assist in conducting regular reviews
  • Assist management in documenting and administering disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Be available to receive and resolve employee grievances;.
  • Plan and prepare employee recognition events and programs

Schedule :

This position is Full-Time.
